The industry is most certainly changing, and technology is the driving force. As AI, IoT, Machine Learning, Automation, and Digitization continue to improve, the amount of data we have available is expanding, as are the ways in which we can leverage that data.

The supply chain is becoming increasingly complex due to customer expectations—a phenomenon known as the “Amazon Effect.” Companies are going to need to rely heavily on these technology solutions in order to meet customer demands, and provide a positive experience moving forward. The good news is that companies are recognizing this, and the supply chain is more integrated now than ever before.
